The Bible tells us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:16). But what are we supposed to pray for? Here are 21 things the Bible tells us to pray for.

  1. Pray for God’s name to be honored. (Mt. 6:9)
  2. Pray for God’s kingdom to be advanced. (Mt. 6:10)
  3. Pray to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, and for his will to be done. (Mt. 6:10; Col. 1:9)
  4. Pray for God to supply the daily needs of his people. (Mt. 6:11)
  5. Pray for the forgiveness of trespasses—if you have already forgiven others. (Mt. 6:12)
  6. Pray that God would not allow you to fall into temptation. (Mt. 6:13)
