Dear God’s Missionary Church Family,

It is my distinct privilege to serve as your director of the God’s Missionary Church World Missions Department. My awareness of the need of the Holy Spirit’s leadership and empowerment in this work will be a main priority. After all, He is truly the director of all the work that is done for the Kingdom of Heaven on this earth.

The Holy Spirit is truly the director of all the work that is done for the Kingdom of Heaven on this earth.

The very objective of mission work is found in Jesus’ own words when he said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). As a result of preaching the gospel, souls will experience saving grace. This is the purpose of this work; this is the gospel.

There are three “ingredients” that must be present in a “missions recipe.” First, there has to be those who send; secondly those who go; and thirdly, those who receive. Without any one of these, there would be great difficulty in executing the Great Commission.

Those who receive are those found in foreign fields and even, as someone has said, “in our own back yard”—many who have never heard a detailed gospel preached. The peoples in the field must be given the proper tools and training for a successful harvest.

Those who “go” are those who have prepared their hearts to be resilient to whatever situation of opposition they might face in a given mission field. They must also have received a measure of academic training and be sure of their calling.

Those who “send” are those who must understand the role of the church concerning the great commission. These are the ones who originate mission work. These are the ones who first receive the vision to evangelize the world according to the mandate Christ has given.

In Chapter 13 of the Book of Acts, we read how the church was fasting; how the Holy Spirit said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them”. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. This is the role of the church.

My vision for God’s Missionary Church World Missions Department is to challenge all of our churches, pastors, and people to become personally, prayerfully, and financially involved in fulfilling the Great Commission.

My vision is for all of our churches, pastors, and people to become personally, prayerfully, and financially involved in fulfilling the Great Commission.

My mission for God’s Missionary Church World Missions Department is to reach as many people groups in foreign countries as possible, including our existing fields and new fields to be developed.

As our people catch the vision of the Great Commission, new missionaries will be called to go and the financial support will be given!

My vision for God’s Missionary Church World Missions Department is simply this: keeping the field connected to the base. And as a result, with the help of God, the field will be developed; there will be those who will be undeterred to serve as missionaries; and the church will be inspired to support.

In the service of Jesus Christ,
Jose Cancio
