The excitement was in the air! It’s time for Camp again. The prayers around the campfire leading up to camp by Bro. Wilmer Paulus and others are always appreciated and honored by God! This year the Missionary Crusaders sent Rev. Daren Fisher and wife, Cristina, and Rev. Hunter Anderson to share in a pre-service. Each minister had a devotional for our young people and enjoyed it around 10:00 pm. This is the first time that Missionary Crusaders have been to our FL Camp meeting. They did a wonderful job!
A nice group of our camp crowd watched and enjoyed a beautiful chalk drawing by Bro. Andy Heinzelman at 1:00 PM. Isaiah 53:6 “all we like sheep have gone astray.” Then at 4:00 PM Rev. Ryan Martin started with a portion of his picture and used the next part of the scripture “and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all”. He drew a beautiful waterfall, lake, and skies. Then a cross and tomb that would provide what was needed to rescue the lost sheep. We praised God and were amazed at the abilities that God gives his children.
God’s presence was especially near in at least three morning services. Praise and testimonies were extra special. God used Rev. David Fulton and Rev. Stephen Cassady as they preached God’s Word to encourage and challenge us to be Christlike. The singing ministry of the Cassady family was anointed by God. The Ryan Martin family were our children’s workers. Bro. Ryan Martin also preached an excellent message to our “youth” on the last Sunday afternoon, and he did a youth devotion at 10 pm during the week.
Our teenagers ran the sound system, mopped the dining hall and helped collect the offerings. They also played with a wonderful group of older people. Who will forget some of those ping-pong and volleyball games?!
One extra blessing this year was that Sis Laura Geul was with us for a pre-service. She ministers at the “Awake Coffee Shop” in Michigan. Laura was saved at our Sun City Camp 15 years ago.
We praise God for how our attendance was up this year, and how our $30,000. goal was met. We left camp needing $3600. That next week we received a text from the treasurer that someone who attended camp sent in the whole amount. We thank God for how he has provided for us once again!!!
