March 01: Chambersburg to hold a pastoral election. We are excited to announce Rev. Joel Sickler has accepted.

March 02-07: I was privileged to speak at a session and attend the Outreach and Bus Convention. I started to read an excellent book written about Rev. Rowan Fay. I also attended the 90th birthday celebration of Rev. James Richard. His friends told some great stories about him along with himself! His greatest story was how Jesus saved him!

March 08: Beavertown, I preached to a great Sunday night crowd! I thank God for this church being a great example of a great commission church. Well done, pastors and people.

March 09-14: I attended a General Board meeting then went to our annual minister and HS basketball game. It felt good to get a couple steals and score a bucket. It was fun to play a little again. I spent time studying for a panel discussion. I also went to our Missionary Crusaders Rally at the Lebanon church. Excellent service!

March 15: Millmont, to be on a panel to discuss and answer questions on Discipleship. It seemed to be a very profitable evening format. God wants all of us to help make disciples.

March 16-24: Penns Creek Camp board meeting and revival sermon preparation for next week. I attended three revival services at Millmont and New Columbia and enjoyed the good messages and singing at each place.

March 25 -30: St. Louis, Michigan to preach a revival at our newest church. God helped in the services, and we had wonderful fellowship in individual homes. The final meal was in their beautiful fellowship hall. Thank you, Bro. and Sis Fling, for your spirit of hospitality!

April 01-05: I went to revival services at Beavertown church a few times this week. I especially like the Communion Service on Good Friday. Rev. Fulton’s messages and the Cassady family singing were such a blessing during this Easter season.

April 07-11: Independence, KS, I was honored to be one of the main speakers for an Outreach Convention in the Bible Holiness Church.  God met with us and we also had wonderful fellowship between services. God is working in their group in a special way!

April 12-17: TN for the IHC Convention. The messages and music were such a blessing to God’s people. The theme was “Stamp Thine own Image deep on our Heart.” God used it to speak to all of us.  I also preached at Mountain Road Church.

April 18- 26: Administrative work, I had a General Board, Missionary Crusaders and Pension Board meetings and attended a wonderful Founders banquet for PV.

Rhoda and I attended the funeral for a good friend of ours, Sis. Wanda Knapp. God used her in so many ways! The preachers, family and Rhoda shared some of those ways.

April 27- May 02: Home Mission board meeting. Bro. Jeffrey Neidermyer took me to eat at Hoss’s, and we had a great time together! We had a wonderful PV school picnic where I was able to dedicate the new softball field in honor of President Durkee!

May 03: Milesburg, it was great to be with the church family and Carter’s. The love offering was greatly appreciated.

May 04-09: I spent a lot of time in sermon preparation for a camp meeting this summer. I also went to our Mountain Road church on the National Day of Prayer. Special thanks to Sis. Denise Fisher for organizing this event. PV auction was such a blessing to the school again. Thanks, Bro. Leonard Raub!

May 11- 16: Administrative work, board and sermon preparation. I took our son, Ryan’s children, fishing. Each one caught one. We had a great time together.

May 17: York, the people’s kind words over Rhoda’s song and my message were appreciated. The Shaffer’s treated us to a wonderful meal afterwards. We were given some nice cards after church. Thanks so much! We feel loved.

May 18- 23: GB meeting, I helped my son-in law do a truck load of wood for firewood.  I was involved in the PV Graduation. Congratulations to the graduates and staff on a job well done!

May 24-25: Chambersburg, it was exciting to be part of installing the Sickler family as the new pastoral family. On Memorial Day, our children surprised us with a 40th anniversary celebration. They gave us a beautiful grill. My dad was there with us and we celebrated his 85th birthday also. We also stopped and thanked God for those who gave their life so we could have these freedoms in America!
