Fall Rally
Our first big event of this conference year was a smashing success. One hundred and ninety attendees and over thirty church representatives filled the Penn View tabernacle to worship the Lord. Dr. John Anthony spoke on the topic “Why Carefulness?” God used him tremendously not only in his speech but in his part on the panel discussion. Reverend Allen Stump and Revered John Zechman were the other panelists that responding thoughtfully and in a balanced manner. The questions from the young people ranged from carefulness in music to dating advice to entertainment usage. The pizza and gym after the service were highly enjoyed as well.
Upcoming Events
Sun City Camp is our next event in early spring. March 12 is our spring rally at Millmont GMC. Canvassing Days have to yet to be scheduled. Other opportunities will soon be able to be spoken of publicly as well.
Pray that God would give wisdom and favor as we try to equip and engage our young people in Christian service. We’re thankful to already have played part in providing a specific channel for God’s calling young people into ministry, but we need tons more to fill the growing gaps in ministry opportunities.
Funding Opportunities
Thank God for providing the needs for the fall rally. While our team negotiated some discounts and secured some donations, our expenses still totaled over $500. Through giving at the rally, God covered the $500 and set some investment “seed” money for ministry opportunities in Florida and New York as well as the ministry opportunities here in Pennsylvania.
We still need to raise $500 for the Jacob Martin Scholarship as well as $200 for the GMYC scholarship. Pray God will give us wisdom as to how He would have us raise that ministry money.
President, Blake Cassady.
