On October 5-7, 2022, I was privileged to travel all the way to Crawford, CO take part in a unique and powerful men’s event called Men Arise. It was the very first event—but it will certainly not be the last. God met with us in an incredible way on those days. There were around 165 men there—and over 50 of them were God’s Missionary guys!

I believe God used what happened on those days to speak to every man present. We heard stirring challenges on God’s call to us as men to step up and lead in our homes, churches, and communities. We ate incredibly delicious food and enjoyed great fellowship with other men. We went hiking, rode four-wheelers, and shot guns together. We prayed for each other and encouraged one another. In the services, men worshiped openly and intensely. I have never experienced anything quite like it in my life! Grown men wept freely as God’s presence came and ministered to us all. One man from my church described it this way: “The Holy Spirit didn’t just walk into the room… He rushed in with a thunder!” His description was completely accurate.

My church and many others were deeply impacted by a tangible change in the men who were part of Men Arise 2022. Wives noticed it. Mothers noticed it. People all around noticed it. Pastor James Plank described the influence that Men Arise had on the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church where he serves: “For our church, Men Arise did as much good as any revival we have had in recent years.”

In just a few weeks, Men Arise 2023 will be taking place. Because of the limited space available, there will actually be two separate events (October 4-6 and 11-13). But between the two weeks, roughly 400 men will once again be challenged to be the godly leaders that God intends us to be in this present day. Close to 100 of those men will be God’s Missionary guys! Please be praying that this event will be powerfully anointed by God’s presence! And be watching for future Men Arise events so that you and every man you know age 14 and older can attend!
