In 1973, the Fort Myers Rescue Mission was began by Rev. Robert Walker in a rented house. Since its founding, the Mission has served hundreds of thousands of meals and provided shelter for men, women, and children. Today, the Mission houses over 80 men and feeds 400-600 people each day. Counseling and Bible courses are available to all. The central heartbeat of the Mission remains: to bring the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to all that will come to Him.
